Knautia Macedonica

AKA Macedonian Scabious, AKA my “too good to be true” plant. Hardy, drought-tolerant, over a metre tall, with ornate, scabious-like flower heads, three different shades of pink/purple on one plant, and beautifully geometric spherical seed heads. And most importantly, the bees just love it. If you find one in a garden centre (which you don’t very often), snap it up- you won’t be disappointed!IMG_2306IMG_2304IMG_1935IMG_1936IMG_2307IMG_2310IMG_2311IMG_2312
