An Incredible Day of Clouds- Part 2

The day had begun with wispy ‘contrailcirrus’, developing into a greasy-looking ‘contrailstratus’ layer. By the time I left work a thick layer of altocumulus had formed, quickly thinning out into beautiful waves of mackerel sky and perfect white bobbles and spots.

These last 2 posts are just a ‘prelude’ to show the great variety of clouds in the sky the day of the most spectacular and just plain weird sunset I have ever seen… coming soon in Part 3!
